Please excuse my recent break from blogging. My husband and I are back in school and well.... we were spending a lot of time here:
Joe and I were able to escape the big city for an early anniversary trip to Aruba. This was our third visit to the island of Aruba and I have to say it just gets better and better each trip. This trip I decided I would plan our time a little differently. Usually we will depend on our hotel to tell us about as well as book a few excursions during our stay. This time we decided because we have become familiar with the island we wanted to explore a little ourselves away from any guided tours.
We spent our first day on the beach relaxing and trying to get into island mode! On our second full day Joe and I rented a ATV for the day and explored the island on our own.
That evening we enjoyed an amazing meal with our toes in the sand.

During the rest of our days on the island we enjoyed many days lounging on beach soaking up the sun. We were able to visit our favorite restaurant in town and were able to add another picture to our collage from Driftwood.
We were able to schedule a paddle boarding lesson during our final days on vacation. The paddle boarding tour was difficult at first but we got the hang of it pretty quickly.
It was an amazing trip and we can't wait to be back on our favorite little island. We are hopeful that we will be able to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary there as well.
