Joe's 28th Birthday

For Joe's 28th Birthday we gathered some of our closest friends and attended a show at The Improv in downtown San Jose. The show was good and the company was awesome. After the show we headed to a bar in downtown Willow Glen to have some drinks and celebrate Joe's birthday.  A great way to bring in Joe's 28th year!

The Honeymoon

We were lucky enough to be able to travel to Aruba for our Honeymoon. It was absolutely breathtaking. We stayed at The Amsterdam Manor which could not have been more perfect.

Being in Aruba is a feeling like no other. Everyone there is relaxed and carefree. There is barely any crime and we were shocked to learn that their police station is closed on Sundays!

We spent our days unwinding by the ocean or participating in different excursions throughout the island. Our favorite lunch spot was a cozy little restaurant located right on the beach. We ate here almost everyday. I am still in disbelief that the picture below is not a postcard but that we were actually there.

Our hotel had an amazing resturant called Mango's. We ate here for dinner most nights. They served great food and had different themed menus each night.

We loved our hotel so much we hardly wanted to leave it but we did explore downtown Aruba a little. We came across a restaurant called Driftwood. It had the most amazing sea food I have ever had. Everyone there was so nice, we look forward to returning to Aruba and making Driftwood part of the tradition!

One of our favorite excursions was one that took us to Natural Pools on the other side of the island. I was unable to snorkel with Joe because of a foot injury but he said it was absolutely amazing. Even though I was unable to participate in snorkeling I enjoying the excursions very much. We were shown all of Aruba's famous sites and untouched land on the opposite side of the island.

Our hotel set up a sunset cruise for us that was unforgettable! We enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while watching the sunset and viewing the sites on our side of the island. The sunset was beautiful and we were able to chit chat with some other travelers during the cruise.

The entire trip was such a dream. We got to enjoy each other uninterrupted for our first week of marriage while exploring Aruba. On the final night of our Honeymoon the hotel hosted a dinner on the beach for the two of us. It was one of the most romantic nights. We enjoyed great food with our feet in the sand and our table lit by tiki torches. It was a great way to end such an amazing trip.

We can not wait to go back! Visiting Aruba every couple of years is a tradition we would like to keep. We look forward to bringing our children here to show them everything we experienced.

We're Married

My name is Christine and on September 17th 2011 I married the love of my life.

Over the years I have been amazed how life can change in such little time. Two years before my husband Joe and I were married I was a single girl without a care. This blog is to document all the changes that we get to experience as a married couple. I am excited to see what our future holds and how fast things can change in married life.

Stay tuned...
